from what i have heard that nerf will not make it unplayable... just harder. don't feel left out on the missed farming issue... i have missed all good farming by about a month :P. i'm just gonna have to make do with whupping thirsty river repeatedly if i want money.

also i have never had a bad PUG either, occasionally i get bad players but they are isolated incidents. i'm sure that we were a crap n00b group from their point-of-view though . usually idiots leave fairly quickly, when they notice that the n00b monk is crap at his job. despite keeping everyone else alive.

So far I have missed all the good farming by 1 day . I finished building my farming character the day after they nerfed farming last time too.
Its not the energy cost that is the real problem. Its the fact that theres no limit to the amount of damage that Protbond can make vanish. When a cow hits me for 300pts, and i take 2. thats .006 or .6% of the incoming damage... Overpowered and unbalanced.

Or you were making a subtle reference to the hidden cow level in diablo haha.

Yeah well, true as it may be that this is a team game, you should be able to solo if you wish. Kudos to you if you can find a way to do it in a difficult area. Even more so if you're creative about how you do it. I like to solo for many of the same reasons. Sometimes its too much admin to run with a group and I just want to play a game and idle a bit when I wish/need, or focus on what I am searching for, or farming. All good. Nice the game can be played a number of different ways and here's to hoping it stays that way.

I love the MONK UW solo build because it ensures that my R/E and my Me/N doesn't have to deal with any pompus teenage punks who do stupid things like run 105/55 Monk builds so they can boast about what the size of their e-penis is.

Yes, copying a 105/55 build is pretty skill-less and unimaginative at this point. Not really a criticism. Its useful, cant argue that, but really old. Soloing the way you wish to solo, be it whatever it is, even the 105/55 (which I wont build), so long as its what you want to play, is great. My point is only that sometimes there's a need to solo in the game because sometimes you cant run with a group. During those times, hopefully, the balance of the game wont change to the point where any type of soloing is a waste of time.

Quoted for truth!
Quoted for DOUBLE truth!

1. No sitting around trying to get a good group when your guildies/friends are unavailable and the favour is about to be stolen.
2. No wasting your money on a BAD group that asks for funds from all constituents, and promptly dies once entering the UW.
3. No standing around saying "WTB Ecto"
4. You're immortal except against enchantment removal or massive DOT. (Provided you play the build properly )

Can someone PM me it so that i know, but at the same time ANet doesn't nerf it like everything else in the GW world?

Lol

I love it because it is a motivation for Anet to make the UW a lot more fun for everyone and to think about their own skills to build a creative counter monster.

haha i knew it, some idiot (not pointing any fingers) just practicly yelled out the combo instead of just PMing it and, of course, ANet nerfed it because...well just because they can...

Dear ANet,

If your reading this, STOP NERFING EVERY GOD DAMN THING YOU SEE!!!!!!

The noob version of the solo build has been nerfed but that doesn't mean you still can't solo it. *Power Spikes Surfer12321's Thread Resurrection Signet.

I get to help lower prices on Ecto!

I get to pick up a large asortment off swords and try them out, just like in pre-searing!

What do you love about the UW solo build? (I'm not asking for you to state why you don't like it or to make a giant rant about how prices on ecto are going down or up blah blah blah)
its an exploit and will be shut down, thats what i think about it. what i love about it is it makes the devs work harder, and takes manhours out of the development of part II.

What I love about it is now after their constant nerfing of everything in sight, catering to new players/making the game easier then it should be and the persistent stream of complainers about uw solo'ing in the forums has made me realize how much I enjoy playing all the other games I own.

Guild Wars has been officially thrown on the shelf.
